How we handle personal data in connection with www.ecoism.biz, under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012.

Last updated: 2026-07-29
This policy explains how ECOISM Singapore ("ECOISM", "we", "us") handles personal data in connection with www.ecoism.biz. It is written to meet our obligations under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
"Personal data" means data about an individual who can be identified from that data, or from that data together with other information we have or are likely to have access to.
We keep collection to the minimum. This website does not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels.
| Source | Data | When |
|---|---|---|
| Enquiry by email | Your name, company, role, email address, and anything you choose to write | When you email us. The enquiry form on our Contact page does not transmit anything to us — it opens your own email application, and nothing is sent until you send it yourself |
| Server logs | IP address, requested URL, response status, browser user agent, timestamp | Automatically, when your browser requests a page. Used to keep the site secure, available and free from abuse |
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and we do not collect sensitive personal data through this website.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
By sending us your details, you consent to us using them to reply to you. You may withdraw that consent at any time by writing to our Data Protection Officer (section 8). We will act on your request within a reasonable time and tell you the likely consequences — for example, if we can no longer respond to an open enquiry.
Server logs are collected for security and legitimate operational reasons.
We use Google Cloud to host this website; server logs are held there on our behalf under contract. We do not share personal data with anyone else, except where required by law, by a court, or by a regulator.
This website is hosted in a Google Cloud region in Japan. Where personal data is transferred out of Singapore, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient is bound by legally enforceable obligations to provide a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA.
We cease to retain personal data, or remove the means by which it can be associated with an individual, once it is no longer necessary for any business or legal purpose.
Under the PDPA you may ask us to access the personal data we hold about you, correct any error in it, or withdraw consent to its use.

We aim to acknowledge requests promptly and to respond within the timeframes set out in the PDPA. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) of Singapore.
We apply reasonable administrative, physical and technical measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page with the effective date shown at the top.
